What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy birthed from Cranial Osteopathy, by the visionary William Sutherland at the beginning of the last century. Like many holistic therapies CST has deeper interconnections with many other ancient healing modalities.
It’s a subtle, profound and gentle therapy that speaks to the inherent intelligence of the body. This approach, because of its deep stillness in nature, is not for all but will suit many, including, newly born babies, children, parents, adults and the elderly. A session will vary from person to person depending on the needs and processes of each client.
When we start to understand that the whole of our history is held within our physical form. We can then begin to unravel any held traumas, Physical aches and pains, and emotional holdings within the body. Because of the very nature of the work, often held memories from the past can rise up, sometimes implicit. Integral to this work is the patient's capacity to develop the presence and awareness of how their stories are held within their bodies.
